Twilight may be better movie-wise than book-wise, I don't really know since I don't watch/read it. I saw the first movie which was kind of okay, I guess. I don't understand why anybody would go into a slobbering love affair with it, though.
As I stated, a small amount of movies (maybe more than 1%, possibly 5%) are better than the book versions that come out. However, that's usually a matter of opinion on which movies were better than which books, and it also depends on what genres of books/movies you read/watch.
